Speak on it...

A super dope show this Saturday with one of my favorite L.A. rappers Subtitle aka Giovanni Marks. Subtitle has been living in Europe and Canada for a while now, taking his rap game to the next level and helping run B.E.A.R. records (check out their line-up, some of teh dopest artist putting it down now). Also check out one of the dopest female rapper out now Sirah One and another one of my favorite L.A. rappers NoCanDo.

Here's one on my favorite songs called Unstopable 03 off his E.P. "Always Recovering From Tomorrow," on GSL records (one of my fav dead labels, thanks Mars Volta). Crazy beat from Anti-Mc, sick lyrics by Subtitle and insance visuals and edits by director Ben Barnes (check out his other videos with Why? and Lab Waste).

Things continue to get busy and hopefully I'll have some exciting news on an incredible opportunity for me and my Dj ventures, so stay tuned. I made a little fun mix composed of Dubstep, Electro, Breaks and Hip-Hop, download it and let me know what you think. I'll be uploading more mixes soon.

I just purchased a new helmet, the Specialzed Echleon. in white and silver. "Minimalist, road race shape that's as comfortable as it is cool." Complies with one or more of the following safety standards for bicycle helmets:

CPSC, SNELL B90A, CE and AS/NZS
Pro Fit 2 rear vertical adjust retention system is secure and easy to adjust on-the-fly
4th Dimension Cooling System with Mega Mouthport
In-molded shell and foam maximizes strength and minimizes weight
Wind tunnel tested for maximum cooling
Light and simple U-Turn strap adjusters

I also picked up the "Trixie," made by Pedros Tools, this thing will come in handy and is probablly the best all in one tool i have (http://www.pedros.com/). "Trixie- Specifically designed for the fixed gear rider, the Pedro’s Trixie is the urban survival tool with all the right pieces to keep that fixie rolling. Hardened tool steel give this tool a great feel and long lasting life."

In more bike news I was lucky enough to be part of filming for David Rowe's (http://www.fastfridaymovie.com/) new film about Los Angeles cycling. Here's a Vimby clip talking about the Fast Friday DVD.

Rowe filmed our Monday night bike run that Ace Boogie (www.the-sleepers.com) leads called Mellow Mondays aka Boogie Nights. On the second night of filming Keo joined the crew on a BMX and I witnessed him smash on his Volume Cutter.

Here's another Vimby clip about Keo.

A few weeks back Cindy and I went to the Improv in Irvine to check out my hero the Baddass Madapaka himself Rex Navarrette.

Check out a clip from his DVD "Hella Pinoy," (Dj Q-Bert on the dvd intro).
